Skull Supervision

Here, a skull oversees a fruity scene in this painted from life scene bursting with juicy flavors. I have such synesthesia just looking at this piece, and it inspired so much of the way this came together. The tentacle (sculpture by Franklyn) holds an orange and is surrounded by Buddha's hand, pear, pomegranate, starfruit, and more orange. Yes, there are googly eyes in the skull and both were part of the original still life arrangement!
